Traditional polishing: Uses a spinning rubber cup and gritty paste. It works, but it can feel a bit rough and doesn’t always reach the smaller spaces.
Airflow®: Feels lighter and more precise. It can clean between teeth and along the gumline, making it ideal for patients with sensitive teeth or gums.
Airflow® is suitable for almost everyone — children, adults, and older patients alike. It’s particularly popular with people who want a fresher, brighter smile before a big event. The only exception is patients with asthma, for whom it may not be suitable.
Most patients describe it as a fine mist or a gentle spray over the teeth. It’s not rough or painful — more like a refreshing rinse. Some even compare it to a spa treatment for their smile.
Airflow® usually takes around 20–30 minutes. It’s quick enough to fit into a lunch break or a busy day.
